These classic cheeseburger sliders are the tastiest way to serve a crowd! Fool proof and delicious, everyone will be asking for more. I love that you can leave out toppings for everyone to customize their own burgers and the smaller sizes make this the perfect tailgate food.

How to make cheeseburger sliders:

You will first cook your meat. Mix the ground beef with all the spices. Then, spread your ground beef out in a large baking dish in one layer to make a sheet of meat. Bake this in the oven until your desired temp or 20-25 minutes. The beef will shrink due to fat loss. Drain the fat!

With a serrated knife, slice a package of sweet rolls in half longways. Place the bottom half in a baking dish. Place the sheet of cooked meat on top on the bottom, then top with diced onions and American cheese and lastly the top half of the sweet rolls. Pour the melted butter and sesame seeds over top and bake until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden.

I hope you love these as much as I did! They will be a hit at any gathering.

Cheeseburger Sliders

  • 1 package 12 dinner rolls (Hawaiin Sweet Rolls)

  • 1.5-2 lb ground beef

  • 1- 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

  • 6 slices cheese

  • diced onion

  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional: add extra herbs to melted butter)

  • sesame seeds

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large baking dish (at least as big as the size of the rolls), mix the meat, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Shape the meat into the bottom of the pan evenly spread to all sides. Bake for 20-25 minutes until desired temperature, remove and drain fat.

  2. Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally and take the top off. Place the hamburger meat on top of the bottom layer of rolls. Layer the cheese slices on and top with diced onions. Place the top of the rolls on top. Pour the melted butter across the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 10 minutes at 350. Slice and serve.
