Perfect Chia Seed Overnight Oats
Oats soaked in almond milk with chia seeds, agave and cinnamon create the perfect, nutritious meal prepped breakfast.I love this recipe because it literally takes 5 minutes to pull together and makes me feel so organized for the week. I don't have to worry about making anything for breakfast or skipping because I can just grab overnight oats out of the fridge. This also makes two servings, so you have breakfast covered for a couple days.I added chia seeds because they are full of antioxidants, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. It's the perfect way to get your dose of chia seeds while eating a healthy filling breakfast.I've also been really into agave because it is a low glycemic index sweetener which means it won't spike your blood sugar like other sugars or honey. I really enjoy the mild sweetness of agave and have been putting it in everything! I think it's a nice healthier way to add sweetener to breakfast foods.I like to top mine with banana, peanut butter and cocoa nibs. You can top with any fruits you want or even some yogurt. Get creative!
